I was born and brought up in India and went to schools in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Later I graduated from the Malviya National Institute of Technology in Jaipur with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
In 1989, I started my professional career as a customer services engineer with HCL Ltd, then one of the largest information technology firm in India. Three years later in 1992, I migrated to Mauritius where I have worked and lived mostly as an entrepreneur with business interests in the information systems support, consulting, training and education industry.
I studied for an MBA at the University of Mauritius and for the Global Advanced Management Program(GAMP) offered split site at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad and Kellogg Business School at the Northwestern University in Chicago.
I am a founder-trustee and Charter Member of the Mauritius Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs. Before that I co-founded The Learning Foundation India dedicated to the teaching of IT and English language skills to children in rural India.
In 2006, I took up Investment Banking within the existing practice of Singhi Advisors Ltd, a Mumbai based boutique investment bank and corporate advisory firm whose Director I became and generally take care of the activities in Africa, Australasia region in particular and the technology services sector in general.
I am additionlly involved as an independent director and advisor with a BSE Listed company in India and Global Equations, a market development and strategic advisory firm based in the US.
My interests include economics and jogging.
My articles have been published prominently in the national newspapers and industry journals.
